Direct Detection of Primordial Gravitational Waves in a BSI Inflationary Model
نویسنده
چکیده
We investigate the possibility for a direct detection by future space interferometers of the stochastic gravitational wave (GW) background generated during the inflationary stage in a class of viable ΛCDM BSI models. At frequencies around 10Hz, maximal values Ωgw(ν) ∼ 3 × 10 are found, an improvement of about one order of magnitude compared to single-field, slowroll inflationary models. This is presumably not sufficient in order to be probed in the near future. PACS Numbers: 04.62.+v, 98.80.Cq

Peculiar Relics from Primordial Black Holes in the Inflationary Paradigm
Depending on various assumptions on the energy scale of inflation and assuming a primordial power spectrum of a Broken Scale Invariance (BSI) type, we explore the possibility for Primordial Black Holes (PBH) and Planck relics to contribute substantially to cold dark matter in the Universe. A recently proposed possibility to produce planck relics in 4-dimensional string gravity is considered. Po...
متن کاملParameter extraction by Planck for a CDM model with broken scale invariance and cosmological constant
We consider a class of spatially flat cold dark matter (CDM) models, with a cosmological constant and a broken-scale-invariant (BSI) steplike primordial spectrum of adiabatic perturbations, previously found to be in very good agreement with observations. Performing a Fisher matrix analysis, we show that in case of a large gravitational waves (GW) contribution some free parameters (defining the ...
متن کاملLarge primordial gravitational wave background in a class of BSI Λ CDM models
We consider the primordial gravitational wave (GW) background in a class of spatiallyflat inflationary cosmological models with cold dark matter (CDM), a cosmological constant, and a broken-scale-invariant (BSI) steplike primordial (initial) spectrum of adiabatic perturbations produced in an exactly solvable inflationary model where the inflaton potential has a rapid change of its first derivat...
متن کاملPrimordial Gravitational Waves and Inflation: CMB and Direct Detection With Space-Based Laser Interferometers
The curl-modes of Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) polarization probe horizon-scale primordial gravitational waves related to inflation. A significant source of confusion is expected from a lensing conversion of polarization related to density perturbations to the curl mode, during the propagation of photons through the large scale structure. Either high resolution CMB anisotropy observations ...
متن کاملGenerating Gravitational Waves After Inflation
It has long been known that an inflationary phase in the very early universe sources a background of gravitational waves. The amplitude of this background is tightly constrained by Cosmic Microwave Background [CMB] data [3,4] placing nontrivial constraints on the inflationary parameter space [5]. The temperature anisotropy of the CMB is measured with much higher accuracy than the polarization a...
